How to Apply for C License

What Are the Requirements?
The specific requirements for getting the C License will vary somewhat depending on the state that you reside in. In general, you will need to be at minimum 18 years old (for C licenses for smaller vehicles or passenger cars) and have no serious violations of your driving or accidents on your driving record. You'll also need to speak and read English well enough to understand the rules of the road. You will need to fill out the paperwork and pass the tests. Class B is for buses and larger trucks with a greater GVWR, while class A is for the larger trucks that haul dangerous materials.

This includes passenger cars as well as cargo vehicles with single-trailers that do NOT exceed 10,000 pounds.
